• How high must a guard be on a deck in Ontario?A guard must be at least 1 070 mm high, dropping to 900 mm where the walking surface it serves is not more than 1 800 mm above the finished ground.
• What is the minimum ceiling height for a bedroom in Ontario?Ontario requires 2 300 mm of clear height over at least 50% of the required floor area, or 2 100 mm over the whole required area.
• What ceiling height is required in a basement in Ontario?Ontario requires 2 100 mm of clear height over at least 75% of the basement floor area, with 1 950 mm permitted under beams and ducts.
• What ceiling height do I need for a basement apartment in Ontario?A secondary suite requires 1.95 m of clear height over the required floor area, reducing to 1.85 m under beams and ducts.
